Bookkeeper Job Description
P.S. I Love You Foundation, founded in 1998, is a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to nurturing at-risk children in underserved areas of Los Angeles. We promote positive youth development through during-school enrichment programs and inspirational community outreach events. We are committed to influencing health and well-being, positive attitudes, social development and hope, in order to transform lives.
The situation in Los Angeles county is dire, with over 1,100 gangs, a staggering 40% high school drop-out rate and more than 35% of children living at or below the poverty level. Furthering the dilemma: schools are often overcrowded, understaffed and in need of support and enrichment programs.
We partner with Title 1 schools, shelters, family support agencies and other non-profits to reach about 700 children each year. We have operated as a volunteer-run organization over 12 years and people like you make it possible for us to do much more than we otherwise could, toward our mission of helping at-risk kids lead better lives.
