“Reach Out To Families Holiday Gift-Giving Night”

Community Giving Program to benefit at-risk children and families in our surrounding cities
Manhattan Beach, CA Nov 14, 2007 The “P.S. I Love You” Foundation, PSILYF, a local nonprofit group providing education and community outreach programs for at-risk youth, will hold its 1st annual “Reach Out to Families Holiday Gift –Giving Night” in partnership with the Downtown Manhattan Beach Business Association next Wednesday, Nov. 14 during the Downtown Manhattan Beach Holiday Open House.
WHAT: This year the Downtown Manhattan Beach Business Association in collaboration with Shorewood Realtors is involved with P.S. I Love You Foundation’s annual “Reach Out to Families Holiday Gift-Giving Night”. “Our vision is to create an easy and heartfelt way for our extraordinarily generous community to touch the lives of families in need during the holiday season through simple donations of new gifts, toys, gift cards, clothing and more. With thousands of local residents and guests strolling our downtown area during the Holiday Open House, donations should come easily and abundantly.” said Maureen McBride, President of the Downtown Business Association. “There could not be a better way to share the spirit of giving than with the brilliant city of Manhattan Beach at the kick off of the holiday season,” said Billie Scelza, program volunteer for P.S. I Love You Foundation. “The holidays are a special time when we can effortlessly give kindness to so many less fortunate children and families that they will remember and appreciate for a very long time,” states Patricia Jones, founder of P.S. I Love You.
HOW: Drop off UNWRAPPED toys, books, gift cards, clothing and family gift baskets to P.S. I Love You’s “Reach Out to Families” Holiday Gift Drive Truck, donated by Penske Auto. P.S. I Love You and Manhattan Beach volunteers will organize the gifts and distribute them to local at-risk schools and shelters.
WHERE: The P.S. I Love You Truck will be parked on Manhattan Avenue at the corner of 10th Street in
Downtown Manhattan Beach.
WHEN: Wednesday, November 14, 2007 From 6:00 pm-9:00pm
WHY: P.S. I Love You volunteers will organize the gifts and distribute them to local at-risk schools and shelters in the neighborhoods of Compton, Watts, Redondo Beach and Hawthorne.
