Dear Patricia:

I am Patti's friend, Darlene (the one wearing the sling).  I have never volunteered for an event that I was so excited about.  I came home and couldn't stop talking about how wonderful all the sponsors were, how loving the mentors were, and how much energy everyone had.  I did not see one child hold back on having fun and feeling free to speak up and enjoy the day with others.

You have the best volunteers and friends, they were so open, considerate, kind and friendly.  They gave 100% on Saturday which I'm sure they also give so much more before the event.  The event seemed to have gone as smoothly as any event could have.

Thanks again for the after party, I had a great time spending time with them, they truly are compassionate individuals.

Thank you so much for sharing your passion and commitment.  I am sure the happy memories of those around you will last forever.

Dearest Volunteers and Sponsors,

There is not much I can say to you all except: THANK YOU again for another incredibly rewarding Day AT The Beach!  (Please read the wonderful letter from a volunteer below.  She says it all in her note.)

I personally want each and every one of you to know;  if you were staff, adopted a child or were a sponsor, that you truly made a positive difference in the lives of over 200 at-risk children in our community.  These children will remember you; they will remember the hugs, the laughter, the games, the water, the warm sun on their faces and most importantly the love and care you dedicated to them for the day. You made a difference!

The day does not happen without you.  Thank you again for being part of our organization!

With sincere love and heartfelt appreciation,

Patricia Jones, Founder

And the PS I Love You Team

PS We Love You!

 Hello,

I wanted to thank you everyone at the P.S. I LOVE YOU FOUNDATION for organizing a wonderful volunteer opportunity with today's "Day at the Beach" event.  This was my first time participating, and it could not have been a better, more rewarding experience.  I learned a lot in a day, and seeing the smiles on the beautiful girls my two other friends and I had a chance to interact with was more fulfilling than I honestly imagined.   Today's event helped me remember how precious it is to be able to extend our heart out to those, especially children, in the local communities and give of ourselves, when so much of the times we can be preoccupied with our own needs and challenges.  I try my best in my daily life to extend my heart to those in my immediate surroundings, which always brings a sense of gratitude and joy.  Today's event did the same but in a different way.  It was a testament to and reaffirmation of what I always believed: by helping others, we help ourselves.  It opened my eyes, and I have no doubt broadened my perspective a little wider. :)

Thank you for the opportunity, and for your amazing service and foundation.  I look forward to participating in another volunteer opportunity through P.S. I LOVE YOU again.  Speaking of which, will the holiday gift-giving program that can be found on the website be held this year as well?  I'd love to join and participate if there will be one.

Wishing you all a lovely Sunday!

Regards,

(Volunteer for 8th Annual Day At The Beach)
